GREENFIELD, WI (November 22, 2016) Laurie Nowak, Clement Manor’s Adult Day Services & Brain Stretch Club Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator, has been selected as a 2016 Health Care Hero in the Health Care Staff category. The Health Care Heroes awards salute the impact and the accomplishments of people and organizations that are making a positive difference in the community on the front lines of health care.
Throughout her eleven years at Clement Manor, Laurie has consistently improved others’ lives by developing new programs that help aging individuals stay productive and happy while supporting them and their families through the stages of dementia. Laurie will join 20 winners in ten different categories in a recognition ceremony on Thursday, December 8 at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, 1721 W. Canal St., in Milwaukee from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Melinda Davenport, co-anchor at WISN 12 News this morning will emcee the event, and introduce the winners.
An independent panel of judges that included Dr. Sarah Pratt; Phyllis King, vice provost of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; Karen Ordinans, executive director of the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin and Heidi Mayer, executive director of the Lutheran Home Foundation, selected this year’s Health Care Heroes.
