Clement Manor Virtual Golf Classic 2020 Exceeds Fundraising Goal!

This was the event’s 20th anniversary and due to COVID-19 safety precautions needed to switch to a virtual event.  The "anyone can participate" format drew the attention of previous as well as many new donors and entire families.  Golf in any format, including mini-golf, was encouraged as a way to spend time with family and friends while thinking about those who have been separated due to the pandemic.  Donors pushed the Golf Classic beyond two major goals: raising $20,000 and raising awareness about the role that technology plays in helping vulnerable seniors stay in contact with their loved ones when in-person visits aren’t possible.

"We hoped that donors would answer the call to continue their support of this event despite the virtual format and we offer our heartfelt thanks to all those that did," said Keri Gerlach, director of marketing and fund development at Clement Manor. "Because of the generosity of these donors, we will be able to upgrade and enhance all of the technology we use to help residents stay connected to their friends and family and purchase several new items that will bring comfort to those in our care."

To date the event has raised more than $41,000.  Donations to the technology fund are still welcome and can be made by clicking here.
