Clement Manor Center for Enrichment Winter/Spring 2019 Catalog Now Available

We’ve known this for many years:
Staying socially engaged with a wide circle of friends and relatives may help maintain human beings’ thinking skills and slow cognitive decline as they age.

A newly released report co-sponsored by AARP and the Global Council on Brain Health and cited by United Press International discusses the role that senior communities play in fostering social connections and how maintaining close relationships promotes both physical and psychological well-being. In addition, the report addresses the social benefits of older adults having pets and how social networks like Facebook help them stay connected, as well. A separate AARP consumer poll found that nearly 40 percent of adults age 40-plus say they lack social connections and that it is impacting their brain health as a result.

The Clement Manor Center for Enrichment is a place where mature adults (age 50 years and better) can gather to stay active, healthy and continue to learn. The Center provides opportunities for education, wellness and spiritual growth while encouraging social interaction.
