Choosing a care provider for an older adult is one of the most important and difficult decisions a loved one may need to make. But now that Southeastern Wisconsin is home to one of the country's most highly regarded healthcare facilities...the choice just got a little easier.
Clement Manor has earned the Step III Quality Award, the most prestigious recognition of quality performance from the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).
"The best possible care, service, environment and staff is what it's all about," said Richard Rau, CEO at Clement Manor. "Our residents and their families have put their trust in us, which is something we don't take lightly. Our company-wide values encourage all of us to look for ways to continuously improve. We're thrilled to be nationally recognized for our service with such a prestigious honor."
Clement Manor is one of only three facilities in the United States to receive the 2008 Step III Quality Award, the highest level of performance excellence recognized by the AHCA and NCAL. Step III is based on the Baldrige National Quality Award criteria, the nation's premier recognition for quality achievement. Clement Manor showed superior results in seven categories: focus on customers, analysis and knowledge management, workforce focus, strategic planning, measurement, process management and results.
Clement Manor will accept the award during the AHCA/NCAL's 59th Annual Convention and Exposition October 5-8, 2008 in Nashville, Tenn.

During all stages of life, it’s vital to enjoy where one lives, learns and revives themself. It’s a benefit Clement Manor residents enjoy each day—and now they’ve made the nation aware of it.
Clement Manor has once again soared above resident and family expectations by providing excellent quality care and service. Its great success has earned the facility an Excellence in Action Award from My InnerView, a renowned quality management firm.
Clement Manor was honored with the award along with only seven other facilities in the State of Wisconsin and 298 across the entire country. Residents and their family members ranked Clement Manor in the top 10 percent of My InnerView’s surveys—when asked if they would recommend Clement Manor to others, they overwhelmingly marked their satisfaction as ‘excellent’.
“We are very honored to be recognized for our commitment to provide quality service,” says Keri Gerlach, Director of Marketing for Clement Manor. “This award means so much to us because everyone here works with the purpose of not only caring for, but enriching the lives of residents and their families. Our quality improvement measures and customer service standards will continue to push us to exceed the expectations of our customers.”
After 25 years of serving the community, Clement Manor continues to improve upon its values of respect, collaboration and quality service. In 2004, Clement Manor was awarded Facility of the Year by the Wisconsin Health Care Association. That same year, it received the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living Step II Quality Award, the first Wisconsin facility to be acknowledged with the award.

It’s National Nursing Home Week May 11 through May 17 and local residents at Clement Manor in Greenfield, Wis. are enjoying very unique, and functional nature-inspired art—a specially designed mural created by Greendale High School students.
At Clement Manor, physical therapy and short-term rehabilitation are key parts of the faith-based retirement community's continuum of services. Clement Manor challenged the talented students from Greendale High School’s National Art Honor Society to design and paint a 45-foot-long mural in the community’s therapy wing that will coincide with their motto: “Life Enriched”. Although, it’s certain to be a beautiful work of art, that’s not its sole purpose. The mural will also be used as a goal-setting tool for Clement Manor residents undergoing mobility treatment using various featured elements in the mural as a “finish line” for patients.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the project,” said Keri Gerlach, marketing director at Clement Manor. “It will be an excellent tool for our therapy program, not to mention look spectacular. We're thankful for the Greendale students' willingness to collaborate with us by using their talents to enrich the lives of our residents; they've been wonderful. We hope their lives have been enriched, too."
The participating Greendale students, overseen by fine arts and vocational education curriculum facilitator Pam Merkel, volunteered their services as part of an after school extra-curricular activity. In addition to the pride that comes with leaving a lasting impression on the facility, the students will also gain excellent life experience and the satisfaction of brightening the lives of Clement Manor’s residents.
Greendale students began painting the mural in November 2007.
